People often ask how many contacts my network holds. That is the wrong question.

The right one is this: how many people would take a call from me on a Tuesday morning without knowing what it is about? That number is always far smaller, and it is the only one that matters.

That credit cannot be bought or transferred. It is built by doing favours you ask nothing for, over years, for people who had nothing to offer at the time. It is slow. It is also the only method that works.
