Why most partnerships die after the signature

A sponsorship contract signed without an activation plan is a cost, not an investment. What separates the two comes down to three questions asked before signing.

The scene is always the same. The contract is signed, the logos are delivered, and six months later nobody can say what the partnership produced.

Three questions asked before signing are usually enough to avoid this. Who, inside the partner company, will personally be judged on the outcome of this partnership? Which purchase decision should it tilt, and with whom? What concretely happens in the thirty days following signature?

An offer unable to answer those three questions is not a partnership. It is advertising space, and it should be sold — and priced — as such.
