Opening the Belgian market for a premium automotive brand

Market entry for a manufacturer with no local structure: distribution network, institutional relations and press launch.

Client under discretion agreement

The challenge

The brand had a product recognised elsewhere in Europe but no awareness in Belgium, no distributor and no institutional relays. The schedule required a first customer delivery within twelve months.

Our intervention

We began by mapping the distribution groups capable of carrying a premium brand without diluting it within their existing portfolio. Seven groups were approached, three shortlisted, one signed.

In parallel, institutional work positioned the brand within the decision circuits around mobility and vehicle taxation. The press launch was built around a restricted format: some fifteen journalists and opinion leaders, a real test drive, no conference.

Results

  • Distribution agreement signed within 7 months with a national group
  • First customer delivery completed within the required deadline
  • Press coverage in the sector’s three reference titles
  • Brand seated at mobility consultation tables
